BHRT uses hormones that are chemically identical to those naturally produced by your body to

restore hormonal balance, particularly during perimenopause and menopause. These hormones

are designed to closely mimic your body’s own hormones, supporting optimal function and

symptom relief.

Traditional HRT often uses synthetic or animal-derived hormones. For example, there is a synthetic Estrogen derived from the urine of pregnant horses! We don't prescribe that one! Bioidentical HRT uses plant-derived hormones that are molecularly identical to your own, which provides better symptom relief and fewer side effects for some women.

Women experiencing symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, low libido,

fatigue, brain fog, at risk for osteoporosis, or having vaginal dryness or painful intercourse may

benefit from BHRT. A personalized assessment—including lab work and a review of your

symptoms—helps determine if BHRT is right for you. You will also need a normal, up-to-date

mammogram if you are over 40 years old.

We may prescribe bioidentical estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA (when

appropriate).

Yes. We prescribe FDA-approved bioidentical hormones such as estradiol and micronized

progesterone, which have been rigorously tested for safety, effectiveness, and consistency. For

patients whose symptoms are not adequately managed with FDA-approved options, we may

prescribe compounded bioidentical hormones. While compounded hormones are not FDA-

approved, they are customized for your individual needs and are considered safe when

formulated and monitored by an experienced provider.

We use comprehensive blood work to evaluate hormone levels before

starting treatment and during follow-up. We also consider your symptoms to ensure a

personalized, data-driven approach to your care. Although we can draw labs to look at your hormones, we really base treatment on your symptoms and is personalized.

Treatment options may include:

‣ Transdermal patches, creams, or gels

‣ Oral capsules

‣ Vaginal creams Your method of administration will be tailored to your symptoms, health history, and

preferences. Because we are a 100% telehealth company, we do not offer pellet therapy.

Many women begin to notice improvement within 4–8 weeks, with full benefits often achieved

in 3–6 months. We monitor and adjust your hormone levels as needed to ensure the best possible

results.

Follow-up appointments typically occur at least once a month after starting your medication but can be as often as you would like! These visits ensure your therapy remains safe and effective. Follow-ups are included in your 24-week package, as well as during your monthly subscription! So you can schedule them whenever needed. You’re also welcome to send quick questions through the patient portal—your provider will check in with you there as well.

It depends on your personal needs and goals. Some women stay on BHRT for many years for

symptom relief and long-term health benefits, while others choose to taper off. Your plan will be

customized and adjusted over time.

Yes! While every plan is different, many patients successfully use these benefits. You can pay

directly with your FSA/HSA card or submit a receipt for reimbursement.
